A final agreement between developers Grenadier and East Devon District Council will be signed off after the council’s cabinet agreed to the final legal contract for the lease of the seafront site.
The agreement means Grenadier are legally required to take the lease for the Queen’s Drive within five days of the council completing the realignment of the seafront road, currently targeted for June 19.
Peter Quincey, Director of Grenadier, said: “Grenadier is very excited to commence with this project and we are keen to get on site as soon as possible following completion of the council’s scheduled roadworks. We are delighted to have Edge Watersports and Michael Caines supporting the new watersports centre on Exmouth seafront.
